TLILIC0003 – Licence to operate a forklift truck
This unit specifies the outcomes required for the operation of a powered Fork Lifting Truck equipped with a mast and an elevating load carriage, and involves the planning & preparing the work, check controls and equipment, engineering principles and stability, attachments, accessories and associated equipment. The principles of maintenance and maintaining of equipment records, shifting, stacking & de-stacking the load, shut down the equipment and securing the work site will be covered.
This course is designed for individuals with little or no experience who need to attain a forklift licence.
This course is nationally recognised (LF) and is conducted by experienced trainers/assessors who provided supervised experience in driving a conventional forklift.
Over the duration of this course, participants are taught how to perform safety checks and safely operate a forklift with the intention of obtaining their forklift licence.
Course duration
2-3 days dependent upon learner industry experience and the ability to retain knowledge and apply practical application
